About ChrisFix
Hey guys, ChrisFix here! I help people learn how to fix their own cars so they can save money, understand the work being done, and feel proud when the job is finished.
I film, edit, and publish my videos myself. I put a lot of care into clear camera angles, sharp focus, and explanations that show the essential details—not just the finished result. My goal is to make the process easy to follow whether you are picking up a ratchet for the first time or already have plenty of experience.
Real jobs, explained step by step
Here you can read guides drawn from my automotive projects, from routine maintenance and detailing to diagnosing a no-start, replacing brakes, and rebuilding a suspension. I like to use common hand tools so you can see what is possible at home.
- Keeping a daily driver running? Explore Maintenance and Fluids.
- Tracking down a problem? Browse Engine Repair, Electrical, or Suspension and Steering.
- Bringing back the shine? Try Car Cleaning and Bodywork and Paint.
- Looking for your next car? Start with Buying and Flipping Cars.
From the driveway to the track
My projects include the DriftStang, the budget Del Sol build, and an endurance-racing BMW. They are a chance to learn new skills, solve problems, and put the repairs to the test.
Work safely
I recommend safe practices whenever you work on a vehicle or use tools. Check the service information and specifications for your particular vehicle, use appropriate protective equipment, and get qualified help when a job is beyond your experience. My guides are educational and do not guarantee a particular result.
